Save the Date – Saturday, May 20, 2017
The Fox Valley Humane Association is excited to announce that our annual Summer favorite, Bark in the Park, has undergone a transformation fit for a fairytale. Now called the Rescue Reunion, the event is a celebration of rescued pets and those who have saved them. The new venue at the Greenville Lions Park, exciting new events like the ball drop, dog costume contest, activities, enticing food provided by the Greenville Lionesses, more raffles and prizes, and a stroll along beautiful paths will highlight the new and improved event, which takes place on Saturday, May 20. Even the cost is different this year, with a new lower price and no collecting of pledges. We are looking forward to a relaxing and fun day spent reuniting with all of the wonderful supporters of the Fox Valley Humane Association, along with those who bring us all together…our beloved dogs!
This year’s theme is all about celebrating the rescue dog and its journey from ‘once upon a time’ to ‘happily ever after’….a fairytale! At the Fox Valley Humane Association we strive to find every homeless animal a soft place to land and its storybook ending. In 2016 we saved the lives of 6,263 animals in need through our Positive Placement Programs. With the additions of our Mobile Clinic and Bark Bus programs we are now taking our programs on the road, both providing mobile services in our community and rescuing dogs from overcrowded shelters in the Southern US. All of this is funded solely by donation, sponsorships, and fundraising through events like this!
